ROBERT GEORGE McDONALD (Bob) Passed away December 9, 2020 at Saanichton, BC. He was one of ten children of Alexander and Mary Agnes (McDermott) McDonald. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Doris Elaine McDonald (Harris), as well as his brothers: Charles, Donald, Scott, Milton, Glenn, Wallace and his sisters: Marge and Florence. He is survived by his sister Violet and his children: Cheryl, Robert (Sherry), Scott, and Lowell (Leigh Anne) McDonald. He also leaves behind, Grandsons Brandon, Teddy, Adrian, Lowell Jr., Connor, Addison, Jesse and Granddaughters April and Jade, as well as numerous Great Grandchildren. He was loved by all.Born June 19, 1933 in Pelly Saskatchewan, Dad moved to Toronto as a young man and married Mom, Doris Elaine Harris. Together they raised four kids. Dad worked very hard and saved and earned all we had. Our family values were basic and went to the core of understanding of what it took to give the next generation what it needed to survive and succeed - honestly and honourably. Thank you isn't enough, but that's all we can say and only hope to pass the skills forward, and share life with everyone with respect, honour, happiness and joy. Dad's hobby was golf. He loved that game! He was a great player, an honest scratch golfer who won many club championships. It was in that experience with golfing with Dad that we had the privilege of experiencing honesty and honour for your fellow players, following the rules of that game of golf to a 'tee'. Sharing that with the group you're with enables an understanding of what kind of people you are playing with. Integrity and honour are exposed in this game. Dad was a master of honesty and honour.Billiards was another of Dad's great games. He was a great player and planner of how to clear the table and make the best hook shots. If you had to shoot after him in snooker, he would make you work to make your next shot. Father's Day and Mother's Day are not for us to share with our parents anymore, but the best memories and the warmest thoughts fill our hearts and minds with the joy of life. We love you, Dad. Thanks for watching over us always. Love, Cheryl, Rob, Scott and Lowell. All of your grandkids and great-grandkids will benefit from what you have done with your life and what you have done for your family. Love forever. A private family only burial will occur at a later date.
